About

Rerum Novarum translates to “of new things” and this is precisely what I am dicovering all the time. Most of the topics I write about are hardly new, many are thousands of years old. Yet in this day and age many a first encounter with them will be very new.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” is a chilling reminder that Rerum Novarum is only true in a relative sense. As humans we attempt to do what we belive are new ideas and yet history proves that most of them are not “New” ideas. What they really are is rebranded failed ideas of a time forgotten or by sheer ignorance of the masses.
Its the real “New” ideas that I am interested in. Freedom, self relience, family, and most of all a life grounded to God, his Church, and His design for a happy and fruitful life. Here I examine new ideas from the old, both good and bad.

I will also use this platform to discuss technology, coding, preparedness, gardening, books, music, and anything else that suits my fancy.

I know that I suck at writing and expressing myself, but I love it.
